Facts about the Crypt Keepers Softball Team

Who are the Crypt Keepers?

The Crypt Keepers are a Men’s and Co-ed recreational softball team.

How did the Crypt Keepers get started?

The Crypt Keepers were formed by Tim Rollins and Kevin Roberts in early 2007.  The original team was a bunch of scrapped together washouts from little league, but in the spring of 2009 the team blossomed with its own website and some legitimate sponsors. Now the team is scrapped together from high school washouts.

How was the team name formed?

Rumor has it Tim Rollins and Kevin Roberts knew a coroner in St. Johns County who they called the crypt keepers because she smelled terrible.  They deny any relation to the late TV show host of Tales from the Crypt.

When and Where do the Crypt Keepers play?

The Crypt Keepers currently play at Mills Field in the Julington Creek area just across the Jacksonville city line in St. Johns County off of Racetrack Rd. The team formerly played at Treaty Park on Wildwood Rd in St. Augustine, but due to creative differences and an inability to win at that venue led them to transfer their talents to Julington Creek.
